Meanwhile, Back In Blighty..

At the start of the year, both Chairman Brown and Commissar Darling both stated that the economy would be back on the up by the start of July. Well with one day left to that peripeheral deadline, figures has shown that the economy shrunk by some 2.4% in the first quarter of this year. The fastest decline in some 50 years.

This follows on from comments made by the OECD that they expect the UK to suffer 'a severe recession'. Isn't that a depression? Ah, now I can see why Chairman Brown stopped mid-sentence at the start of the year, when he was caught using the dreaded 'D' word.

We're fucked, Brown and Darling knows that we're done for and they seem like they are going to try and take the entire ship down with them. Labour's going to be out of government for a generation unless they can do something drastic, and even then that will probably not be enough.

Some Thoughts...

Evening,

Considering what has been dominating the news agenda these past few days, with the passing of a certain Mr Jackson the ever-fluid situation in Iran seems to have gone off the media radar - however the news today that some eight Iranian employees of the British Embassy in Tehran could, certainly in Britain at least begin to concentrate minds in Westminster.

The language used by the government has been encouraging, the expulsion of two Iranian diplomats as part of a tit-for-tat diplomatic roulette game seems boring and pointless, particularly to those who are continuing to demostrate on the streets of Tehran, Istafan and Shiraz who are taking their lives into their own hands by continuing their resistance to the demands of the Supreme Leader.

What else is there can Britain, the E.U or the wider international community can do to pressure the regime in Tehran to listen to the protesters - instead of pepper them down with bullets, or are we going to sit on our hands and wait for things to get worse, or even more dire, for events to kick off closer to home to force our hand. History teaches us, that we must cut the head off, before it is able to spread it's bile to the rest of the world - or do politicians never learn from past mistakes?

A Message From Tehran.

It seems that regardless of what Ayatollah Khameini demands, the people will not bow to his and his fascist supporters demands…

Here’s hoping other countries get the message…

Michael Jackson Passes On...

First things first, I have to say that I'm not surprised at this news. Looking at his personal self in recent years suggests to me that his personal health was not was it once was.
However, I do have to say that I find it more than a little hypocritical that the media are falling over themselves to pay homage to MJ, when it was them who let us be brutal could not help themselves to ridicule him.
In the end like Diana before him, the press have the blood of Michael Jackson's all over them. And I hope everyone remember that. Because the bastards deserve what is going to eventually come to them.

Some Reading For You…

Morning,

I have been reading an awful lot of blogs in the past few days and the general consensus is that Obama and Brown are spot on in their approach to the Mad Ayatollah.  We cannot rise to the bait that they are encouraging us to do.  There is too much at stake…

These interesting reads that I mention below can give you a far better understanding about the situation in Tehran and other cities within the country.

First things first, may I point you to the excellent live blog that the HuffPost’s Nico Pitney has been doing since the first restless day of protests in the Iranian capital.  Nico’s blog has impressed so much that he was invited to the White House to answer a question to President Obama – and got the question to ask from those in Iran.

Secondly, the award-winning blogger Andrew Sullivan has been updated his blog with the latest tweets from those on the ground in Iran, as well as his own thoughts.

And that about it.  This is the problem with trying to read the latest out of besieged countries such as what Iran is right now.  There is so few reliable correspondents in the country right now, either because they have been kicked out, as in the case of the BBC’s Jon Leyne, or sadly they are being taken out by the cuntish paramilitaries that the Mad Ayatollah has recruited to do his dirty bidding.  Keep them in your thoughts…

Some Thoughts...

Evening,

I am wondering tonight how far the British government is willing to go in this tit-for-tat diplomatic game with the Iranian regime.  The way that Chairman Brown tried to act all tough when announcing the news that diplomats had been expelled from London, did not sound too convincing.  This is all for political posturing.  Why do they not go searching for the money?

I say that because there is news floating around this evening that the son of Ayatollah Khameini has had his bank assets, based in the UK frozen.  To the tune of a cool £1.2billion.  So much for having any form of religious responsibility...

I would be intrigued to see just how much the Ayatollah has got tucked away in his Zurich bank account...

And Still The Resistance Goes On

…because that is what it is now.

Videos have been shown by CNN showing what seems to be a massive demonstration against the Iranian regime in Tehran, yet another example of young people rising up against the tyrannic regime.  No going back…

If I was the Ayatollah, I would be looking at holiday brochures for somewhere else to hole up.  Perhaps his friends in Lebanon could assist him…

Either way, it is getting obvious that the Iranian regime is getting desperate to blame anyone but themselves for the Genie being out of the bottle.  They are kicking the BBC out of the country for “deliberate fabrication and supporting the demonstrators”…the Beeb must be doing something right…

We Are All Terrorists...

...so say the Iranian Government.

I find that quite surreal considering the Ayatollah regularly funds the Hezbollah and Hamas...

...isn't that ironic.

The True Face Of Religious Zealots...

At the end of a bloody and brutal day in not just Tehran, but in other cities in Iran, hospital sources are being quoted as stating that at least 19 innocent people have been murdered at the hands of the religious fascists known Ayatollah Ali Khameini and his SS-styled butchers.  and that is the mildest language I can think of right now to describe that excuse...

I have heard that the death toll could be as much as 150.  That would mean that the Iranian nation would have crossed a certain precipice or which there is no way back for the Ayatollah...

The Role Of The New Media

Evening,

We are seeing an astonishing new aspect in the way that people are using such websites such as Facebook and in particular Twitter in the last few days to get news, videos and images out of Iran in the aftermath of the disputed elections.  It is an medium of which the mainstream media are having to adjust to very quickly to the way that people are being able to post their tweets and messages within seconds of something happening.  Perhaps it is the media of the future…

The way that people right across the world have been helping Iranian bloggers to post their views via private proxies has also been fantastic.  People are not just viewing the events in Tehran and Estaefan and Tabriz with horror and helplessness, they are using the tools they have to hand to help those in need in any shape and way.  Iran's Mohammed Ali Karimi, right, wears green wristbands in support of Iranian opposition leader Mir-Hossein Mousavi during a World Cup qualifying match in SeoulThey are engaged…

It takes an remarkable event to get the U.S. State Department to take an interest in the maintenance schedules of dotcom start-ups. But over the weekend, officials there reached out to Twitter and asked them to delay a network upgrade that was scheduled for Monday night. The reason?  To protect the interests of Iranians using the service to protest the presidential election that took place on June 12.  After an remarkable cyber flash campaign Twitter moved the upgrade to 10pm BST Tuesday night — or 1:30 a.m. Tehran time.  The power of people as one is remarkable…

One further, remarkable protest that has happened today was in Seoul where the Iranian national team, idolised by millions were playing South Korea in a World Cup Qualifier, several players sported a green ribbon in support of the opposition.  It is reported that the Iranian Football Association ordered the removal of the ribbons at half-time, but it was a powerful show of defiance.  Sport can unite people in incredible ways…

The Last Dictator to face such numbers of demonstrators were Ceausescu.

We all know what happened next…

Reports suggest one person has been shot dead by pro-government militia in Central Tehran.

This is no longer about a rigged election, this is far, far bigger…

The Revolution Will Be Twittered…

Evening,

One of the most astonishing aspects of the on-going protests that I am seeing and the mainstream press is reporting on is the phenomenal amount of reports that are coming through from Tehran in particular via Twitter.  I have been following the coverage coming from there for the past 72 hours, and although the Iranian Government have been able to block off other social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook, however Twitter has escaped this censure…

For the latest news coming out of Tehran and other parts of Iran, click here and here.  Admittedly the situation there is extremely fluid, but it is far, far more accurate than any of the mainstream media would like to admit…

Is The Damage Already Done?

Evening,

Some damaging news for Chairman Brown as he prepares to try and relaunch Labour's agenda.  Polls announced today say some 51% of those asked believe that his leadership is damaging the country.  The poll done by YouGov on behalf of the Sunday Times has to be seen as yet another blow to Brown's credibility after last week's disasterous election results.  And we thought that Brown's support could not sink any further...

Some people are beginning to wonder aloud whether, regardless of what happens, between now and next May whether Labour's fate is sealed.  People have shown at the polls last week that they are not at all happy with Brown's continuing leadership.  Indeed some 49% of those asked said that they would support calls for an immediate General Election...  Not that there is that much good news for Mr Cameron...

Only 36% of those asked said that they thought the Tory leader had the right policies to deal with Britain's ever continuing difficulties whilst half said he did not...  Saying that though Cameron's popularity was put at 25%, whilst Brown's popularity is -50%....

A Message From Iran…

Hat-Tip to TehranLive.org

I’m watching PressTV, which is Iran’s English News Channel, you can get it by downloading LiveStation, which also allows you to watch Al Jazzera and Al Arabiya, amongst others.  Sometimes, watching it from a perspective other than Sky, Auntie or CNN is interesting to put it mildly…

Spend, Spend, Spend - The Sunday Essay

Well we do live in extraordinary times.  Whether it is the Labour Party turning in on itself and continuing to fail to listen to the electorate whilst continuing to spend money that the country can ill afford on stupid projects - or for that matter bailing out bankers whilst turning it's backs on it's core voters - who have in turned voted in two fascists to represent their region in the European Parliament.

Outside the election of the slime and ever continuing fallout of last week's elections - surely the story of the week has to be of that of Cristiano Ronaldo's impending move from the Corporation to Franco's Children for a world-record £80million.  Just to put it in comparison, another £20million would buy you, Newcastle United, and their over-paid, relegated misfits...

We all thought that with the sale going through of Brazilian superstar Kakà from AC Milan for £59million, that that would be the end of the madness of newly elected and unopposed President Florentino Perez - that he would probably end up buying the likes of David Villa (which he eventually has...for £34million) and possibly the likes of Ashley Cole and Alvaro Arbeloa... though I hope the latter stays at Anfield...

These are supposed to be recessionary times that we live in and yet we are seeing, both in Sporting and economic terms, ridiculous sums of money exchanging hands.  No doubt, the sheikh at Manchester City will be biding their time waiting to make their move on anyone who either Real, or for that matter any of the Big 4 or current European Champions Barcelona decide they do not need... though if they do not need them, then they will probably not make Man City do any better than they did last year...Robinho excluded...

What is remarkable to some, but to me concerning is this.  How is it in these economically hard times can a club such as Real Madrid be able to spend something close to £175millioyet they have close on £500millioin debt to worry about.  I hear the arguments put forward by the former president Roman Calderon that he was quite frugal in how much he spent each season, but still...

Perez states that shirt sales will fund the deals, which suggest quite a staggering number of replica tops will need to be shifted, though considering the club's fanatical support in Asia, only greater in size to both Liverpool and Manchester United and then it is possible... Only possible...not exactly guaranteed...it better be worth it...for Perez's sake...I do not think it will do...

The Iranian Elections…

A message to Ayatollah Khomeini, chief supreme leader of Iran – so like Mandelson an unelected stooge…  I don’t accept this result…and it seems nor does the youth of Iran…your future….you’re the past…

Solidarity with the people of Iran, they are the future…social reform is what they want.

Perhaps the clashes in Tehran we are seeing are the first signs of a critical mass coming together… Khomeini and his fellow backward fascists should heed the warnings…or it could get quite nasty…

Democracy - Chairman Brown Style...

Chairman Brown seems to have had quite a conversion to the democratic system this past week, since only 5% of eligible voters supported him at the elections last week.  Gordon's change of heart regarding democracy strikes a different mark in comparison to avoiding election for leader of his own party and has a lack of a democratic mandate from the electorate... Of course, there is a way to reconnect with the voters...he could always call that general election...

As of tonight there 20, yes Twenty unelected Lords and Baronesses in Chairman Brown's cabinet.  So much for democratic renewal...
