Meanwhile, Back In Blighty..

At the start of the year, both Chairman Brown and Commissar Darling both stated that the economy would be back on the up by the start of July. Well with one day left to that peripeheral deadline, figures has shown that the economy shrunk by some 2.4% in the first quarter of this year. The fastest decline in some 50 years.

This follows on from comments made by the OECD that they expect the UK to suffer 'a severe recession'. Isn't that a depression? Ah, now I can see why Chairman Brown stopped mid-sentence at the start of the year, when he was caught using the dreaded 'D' word.

We're fucked, Brown and Darling knows that we're done for and they seem like they are going to try and take the entire ship down with them. Labour's going to be out of government for a generation unless they can do something drastic, and even then that will probably not be enough.
